Huntington, NY – Ariana Shellman, (2025 – Medford, NY) has committed to Division III
Marywood University (Scranton, PA).
Marywood is a perennial power program that continues to compete at a high level in the
Atlantic East Conference.
Director of Softball Operations and 18U Gold Head Coach, Jamie Apicella commented on Shellman’s commitment announcement:
“Ariana recently joined Team Beast and has made an immediate impact on our roster. She is a lefty catcher/OF with athletic ability and leadership skills that will translate into a very productive player at the next level. Ari will give her coaches options both defensively and on the offensive side. She has tough at bats, puts ball in play all the time and you can place her in any spot in the lineup. At the catcher’s position she has great framing skills, blocking skills and a quick release to all bases. Great leader behind plate and portrays confidence for her teammates in a challenging position. All around dynamic player that we are excited to watch and be part of her continued development and preparedness for the college level. Congratulations to Ariana and her family on this outstanding accomplishment. We are so proud and happy for you and know you have a bright future ahead of you. We are excited to follow your career at Marywood University.”
Team Beast 16U and 18U Gold continues the fall season this weekend at the Jersey Outlaws Fall Showcase, October 5-6 in Jackson, NJ.
